“Utopia” is defined as a community or society possessing highly desirable or near perfect qualities. The word was coined by Sir Thomas More in Greek for his 1516 book Utopia (in Latin), describing a fictional island society in the Atlantic Ocean. In the Paul Perret Utopia model, perfection was the clear goal. To create an elegant & simple design that would be visually stimulating, without being overdone. The result is a 45mm mirror polished case with carefully selected highlights of satin brushing, and ornate tear-drop shaped lugs. Underneath the Sapphire crystal lies a dial with a stunning satin sunray finish that radiates light outward to the richly textured chapter ring that accentuates the hand applied, polished hour markers. While the Big Date complication of the Swiss Made Ronda 6004.B movement is framed with a beautifully placed polished border, the real centerpiece of this design is the decorated seconds subdial at the bottom of the dial. A bold polished application surrounds the subdial and graduated markers accent the placement of the seconds indication.
