4th Generation
Exclusively sold in Japan!!
Unlike other Toho monsters, Mothra is a largely heroic character, having been variously portrayed as a protector of her own island culture, the Earth and Japan. She is typically portrayed as a colossal sentient larva (caterpillar) or imago, accompanied by two miniature female humanoids speaking on her behalf.
When Mothra is to be summoned the twin miniature females, or fairies, break out in song...(who can forget that song?)
Mothra's Song
Mothra oh Mothra
with the power of your ancestor
Mothra
grant the prayer of your lowly
servants, arise and
show
your power!
Oh Mothra!
Mothra is one of Toho's most popular monsters and second only to Godzilla in her total number of film appearances.
