This vintage sterling silver ring is an example of beauty in its simplest form.  A continuous band that measures approximately 2.75mm is created using a silversmithing technique called "overlay" that was developed in the 1930s-1940's, and perfected by the Hopi Native American craftsmen. The Hopi storytelling-style design encircles the ring. This ring bears the Carlisle Silver Company hallmark and STER. It is US size 9 and there are no sizing options*, due to the nature of the craftsmanship and the continuous design. See other important information below.  AdminCode: 33124/L

*It is possible to size a Hopi overlay ring, but it can be highly complex and depends on the specific band. Because the style uses two layered sheets of silver (the cutout design atop a textured, oxidized base), altering the band risks distorting the delicate cutouts or leaving an obvious break in the pattern. (From AI)
