About Sail4th 250 Sail4th 250 is a multi-city tall-ship celebration marking America’s Semiquincentennial in 2026. Its roots trace back to Operation Sail (OpSail), founded in 1961 and endorsed by President John F. Kennedy to promote international friendship and maritime heritage. The 2026 event will feature 60+ international tall ships from over 20 nations, 40+ U.S. and allied naval vessels, including a British aircraft carrier and Cunard’s Queen Mary 2. The centerpiece is the International Parade of Sail on July 4, with ships passing the Statue of Liberty and sailing up the Hudson River, accompanied by 100 aircraft led by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
