This 2026 D Roosevelt Dime features the special Emerging Liberty design created as part of the United States Semiquincentennial celebration, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The obverse features a modern interpretation of Liberty rather than the traditional portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Liberty is shown as a young figure wearing a cap, representing the emergence of the United States and the ideals of freedom that helped shape the nation.

The reverse continues the anniversary theme with imagery representing the founding principles of the United States and the continuing pursuit of liberty.

The year 2026 represents one of the most historically significant anniversaries in American history. The United States Mint introduced special circulating coin designs to commemorate the nation's 250th anniversary, making these coins distinctly different from the designs normally encountered in everyday American coinage.

This example was struck at the Denver Mint and carries the D mint mark.
