This 1 ounce copper round features one of the most famous designs in American numismatic history, the Walking Liberty design. The obverse depicts Liberty walking toward the rising sun while carrying branches of laurel and oak, symbols of American civil and military achievement.

The design is inspired by Adolph A. Weinman’s original Walking Liberty Half Dollar, which was introduced in 1916 and struck by the United States Mint through 1947. Weinman’s artwork became so admired that a version of Walking Liberty was later selected for the obverse of the American Silver Eagle when that bullion coin debuted in 1986.

The reverse of this copper round features a powerful American bald eagle with the inscriptions "United States of America," ".999 Fine," and "1 Ounce Copper."

Each round contains 1 avoirdupois ounce of .999 fine copper. These are privately produced copper rounds and are not United States legal tender. They are popular with collectors who enjoy classic American coin designs as well as those interested in collecting physical copper.
