Offered is an original 1965 United States Special Mint Set (SMS) issued by the U.S. Treasury Department. This collectible set includes all five 1965 coins sealed in the original Mint cellophane packaging, along with the original Treasury mailing envelope and Bureau of the Mint informational insert.

Unlike standard Proof or Mint Sets, the 1965 Special Mint Sets were produced with specially prepared planchets and polished dies, making them a unique part of modern U.S. coinage history.

Coins remain sealed in the original U.S. Mint packaging. The outer envelope and insert show age-related wear, toning, creases, and handling consistent with long-term storage. Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition and contents of the item you will receive. Sold as pictured.
