This Series 1953 A Two Dollar United States Note is a historic piece of American paper currency featuring Thomas Jefferson on the front and his famous Virginia home, Monticello, on the reverse. Its red Treasury seal and matching red serial numbers immediately distinguish it from the Federal Reserve Notes commonly encountered today.
