Why This Card Matters

Aerodactyl #142 comes from the original Japanese Fossil release and features the classic Kagemaru Himeno artwork familiar to collectors of early Pokémon cards.

The Japanese version retains the original Pocket Monsters card back, giving it the unmistakable appearance of Pokémon's earliest TCG era.

This particular example has an additional collector feature: a clearly visible holo swirl positioned near the lower-right side of the artwork. Because the placement of the holo pattern varies between individual cards, visible swirls give collectors another distinctive feature to look for when choosing a copy.
