Set of 2 Cristal d’Arques Durand Antique Ruby Gold Encrusted Rim Fluted Champagne Glasses Made in France (marked ITALY)

Pair of vintage Cristal d’Arques-Durand “Antique Ruby” fluted champagne glasses, made in France by J.G. Durand et Cie, circa late 1980s–early 2000s.

These elegant, tall champagne flutes feature:

A slender, vertically ribbed (12-panel optic) bowl that beautifully catches and reflects light

A striking ruby-red flashed band at the rim with hand-applied gold encrusted floral and scroll decoration

A distinctive hexagonal knop in the stem

Thick, stable foot with the characteristic “ITALY” acid-etched mark on the base (a known marking on later pieces of this French pattern that were finished/distributed via Italy)

Measurements:

Height: 7¼ inches (18.4 cm)

Rim diameter: 2? inches (6 cm)

Base diameter: approximately 2¾ inches (7 cm)

Capacity: approx. 5–6 oz (150–180 ml)

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Crystal is brilliant and free of chips, cracks, or cloudiness. Ruby band is deep and unfaded.

Gold encrusted decoration shows only the faintest, microscopic rubbing in a couple of spots — outstanding preservation for this pattern.

Perfect for weddings, anniversaries, holiday toasts, or as a luxurious addition to any vintage barware collection. Discontinued and increasingly collectible.
