Description

This rare 1998 Amada Kaku Menko Pikachu is one of the earliest officially licensed Pokémon collectibles ever released in Japan. Part of a special series created by Amada, these cards were produced in a thick, puzzle-like format and were sold in small packs alongside other retro-style Japanese Menko cards.

What makes this card truly special is that it originates from a unique jigsaw puzzle Menko set — the pieces fit together to create a larger image. This format was never sold outside Japan, never printed again, and was produced in very limited quantities.

Because the card was produced only in Japan in 1998 and was intended as a casual toy rather than a trading card, very few survive today in any condition. Collectors rarely sell these, which is why this card is considered highly desirable and rarely appears for sale on English marketplaces.
