Metzler and Ortloff - Four Seasons Children Dancing / Angels / Cherubs 

Made in German Democratic Republic

Circa 1950's

These figurines represent the Four Seasons

# 22 Represents Spring-  He stands atop beautiful pink, spring roses. He holds a sheaf of wheat in his left hand and a dainty blue butterfly has landed on his outstretched right hand.

# 25 Represents Summer-  He is hitching a slow ride on a sea snail! He is holding a tulip in one hand and a little bird in the other.

# 13 Represents the Fall/Autumn Harvest- He stands atop a cornucopia of autumn fruits. He holds a bunch of grapes in one hand and a wine glass in the other. There is a relief hole at the base of the head on this particular figure and the enamel is off on his right leg above the knee (unnoticeable)Photo # 9

# 15 Represents Winter- He stands atop a giant pine cone and has a pair of snow skis slung over his right shoulder. There is a relief hole at the side of his back by his left arm. The skis have been repaired photo # 10
