Q: Do the gems look like the ones in the picture?
A: Yes, the picture represents actual stones hand-picked in our mining bucket. Every mining bucket will be different as there are no two stones alike. The type of gemstones, sizes, and quantities will vary in every mining bucket.
Q: Are the gemstones/crystals real?
A: Yes, all of our gemstones/crystals are real.
Q: Can we use this kit more than one time?
A: Our mining buckets can be re-used over and over again. Place your stones in the reusable bucket, add dirt, shake, and relive the fun over and over again.
Q: What other things can I use as a mining tool?
A: A common kitchen sifter/colander can be used to separate the gemstones/crystals from the mining rough. We suggest using a plastic container filled with water to go through the material. A dry cloth can be used to dry the gemstones.
Q: Would this be ok for a 3-year-old to do?
A: In our experience kids over the age of 4 tend to do well mining for crystals. Not all children are the same and we recommend that all children be supervised by an adult during the activity. Please keep in mind that this activity is not only for kids, a large portion of our customers are adults and enjoy mining for treasures.
Q: Do multiple kits contain identical items?
A: All kits are different. Stones, sizes, colors, and quantities will vary. No two kits are the same. We always carry a minimum of 15 different types of crystals/gemstones in stock. Due to supply and transportation from mines, we are always changing the types of stones you will find in our mining buckets.
Q: Is this made in the USA?
A: While all stones are from different parts of the United States and the world, we assemble these kits in Miami, Florida USA. All gemstones/crystals are hand-picked to ensure that we send the best quality stones in our mining buckets.
Q: For two kids, would it be best to buy two kits? Or is it easy to share one bucket?
A: We consider the 3 pound bucket as a personal bucket. The 8 and 10 pound bucket can be shared but good luck splitting the gemstones/crystals between two…lol
