2. Good Jive Comix #1

Only Printing / November, 1972 / 36 pages / Pooh Bear Productions
All of the stories in Good Jive Comix #1 are by Richard "Grass" Green.
Green broke ground in the comics industry as one of the first black comic illustrators.
His underground work was daring, sexy and funny, and so are these comic books. 
Green died of lung cancer in 2002.

3. Teen-Age Horizons of Shangrila #1

1st Printing with Advertising / Summer 1970 / 44 pages / Kitchen Sink 
Jay Lynch provides solid front-cover artwork for Teen-Age Horizons of Shangrila #1,
Lynch has never done anything less than solid front-cover artwork for any underground lucky enough to get him.
The opening story by Denis Kitchen is a thinly veiled, likely skewed autobiography of his indoctrination into the hippie culture.
Though it makes hippies look a bit like simpletons, the story is pretty funny.

4. Bizarre Sex #1

First Printing May 1972
One of the great series in underground history, Denis Kitchen's Bizarre Sex came out of the gate with a vengeance.
The first story by Richard "Grass" Green is about brother/sister incest ("Incest")
Daniel Clyne follows up with a three-pager about interracial homosexuality ("Dr. Lum Bago's Creation").
Tim Boxell fills out most of the rest of the book, though Wendal Pugh also contributes
"There's 1 Born Every Minute." Bizarre Sex #1 sold at least 75,000 copies over the course of nine printings and gets this acclaimed series off to a rollicking good start.
