Get a great deal on this 1952 U.S. Silver Proof Set auction presented by Property Room. The winner will receive an original 1952 U.S. Silver Proof Set, similar to the one pictured, that still has its box sealed from when it left the Mint 60 years ago. Only 81,980 1952 proof sets were ever minted, and all were originally issued in these sealed boxes. But the vast majority of them have been opened. The 1952 proof set contains a silver Franklin half, silver Washington quarter, silver Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, and a Wheat Lincoln cent; all in proof strike. The 1952 proof set is the most valuable regular U.S. Proof Set issued from 1952-present and is rarer than any of the other unopened proof sets we offer from this time period. If you decide to open the box you will be the first to have ever seen the coins inside since they left the mint. And if very lucky, you may find a rare error or high grade deep cameo coin inside. Such a coin could be worth thousands of dollars according the PCGS online coin price guide. For example, according to the PCGS online price guide as of February 23, 2012, a 1952 proof nickel lists for up to $15,000 and a 1952 proof half lists for up to $12,500. Please note this item is not returnable for any reason if the box is opened.
