Kodak Digital Camera - Model CX4200

This Kodak model CX4200 digital camera would make a great introduction to digital photography. It features a CCD resolution of 2.1 megapixel (1704x1257 pixels), an image resolution of 2.0 megapixel (1632x1232 pixels), and image quality for 2.0MP (best) (print, enlargement), 1.0MP (better) (small print), and 0.5MP (good)(Email). It has a 2X digital zoom, and it boasts a focus distance of 0.75m (29.5") to infinity in auto mode and .2-.3m (7.9-11.8") in close up mode. The camera also features a built-in lens cover, auto matrix metering, a 1/8-1/1000 seconds shutter speed, a f/4.5 aperture, and flash modes for automatic, fill, red-eye, and off. It has a flash range of 0.5-2.4m (1.6-7.9'). The camera also has automatic white balance, automatic matrix metering, a 16MB internal memory, and a SD/MMC removable card slot. It has a USB interface, as well as a Kodak EasyShare camera dock.

This camera even has a compatible video out for viewing a slide show on TV! The video out is NTSC and PAL (user-selectable), and the capture mode is automatic and always ready. The camera has a dedicated delete button in case you need to clear up storage space, and it has a real image optical viewfinder, a share button, and an easy one-button review! The 1.6" LCD is perfect for reviewing your photos, and you can save your pictures in JPEG/EXIF v2.2 format. There is a DC-in jack on the side of camera for a 3V adapter, as well as a 1/4" standard tripod mount. The camera offers a ten second self-timer for when you want to get in the picture!

The camera also has an optional camera dock with a Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack (in-camera charging), and it can also be powered by two AA lithium or Ni-MH batteries or one CRV3 lithium battery (not included). The camera weighs just 200 grams (7.1 ounces), and it measures 4.3" x 2.5" x 1.6".
